Quick answer
This Christmas puzzle page offers three written challenges and a 24-day plan using the free games on this site. Start on any day and choose your own pace. The calendar is a list of activities you can open now, with no daily unlock, purchase or claim that the games have Christmas-themed boards.
Three Christmas puzzles with optional hints
1. Weigh the gifts
Three gifts have weights A, B and C. A + B = 14, B + C = 18, and A + C = 16. What is each weight in the same units?
Show a small hint
Add all three equations. Each gift is counted twice.
Reveal the answer and explanation
A = 6, B = 8 and C = 10. Adding the equations gives 2(A + B + C) = 48, so the total is 24. Subtract each pair total from 24 to obtain the remaining gift.
2. Arrange the ornaments
Red, Blue, Gold and Silver ornaments fill four positions. Red is immediately before Blue. Gold is not at either end and is before Silver. What is the order?
Show a small hint
Try each location for the Red–Blue pair and check Gold’s position.
Reveal the answer and explanation
Red, Blue, Gold, Silver. A Red–Blue pair in positions 2–3 would leave Gold at an end. A pair in positions 3–4 would force Gold before Silver into position 1, also an end. The pair must occupy 1–2.
3. Make a festive 24
Use the numbers 2, 3, 4 and 6 exactly once, with arithmetic operations and parentheses, to make 24. Find one solution.
Show a small hint
Try making 8 with three of the numbers, leaving a multiplier of 3.
Reveal the answer and explanation
(6 + 4 − 2) × 3 = 24. The parentheses make 8, then multiplication by 3 gives 24. Other valid expressions may also exist.
A 24-day puzzle advent activity plan
Each row gives a small action rather than a promised completion time. Open the linked game, select the named difficulty, and adapt the activity if it is too easy or too demanding. You can use a paper checklist to mark completed days; this page does not track calendar progress.

How can you adapt the calendar for a group?
Pair an experienced player with someone learning the rules. Ask the first player to explain a possible move while the second uses the controls, then swap roles. A written challenge can be solved together without comparing times.
If you meant a physical puzzle advent calendar with pieces behind doors, this page is a different format: a free browser activity plan. It does not sell or review boxed products.
Common questions
Do I have to wait until December to start?
No. Every activity is available now. Use days 1–24 as a sequence, not an enforced date schedule.
Are the linked game boards decorated for Christmas?
The written challenges are seasonal. The linked games use their normal designs and rules.
