How to play
Maze Escape

Choose a route before racing through it. A short visual inspection of junctions can save a long walk down the wrong branch.

Your first round

  1. Locate the start marker and the finish flag before moving.
  2. Trace a possible route through the open corridors, paying special attention to junctions.
  3. Move along your planned route using the keyboard or direction buttons.
  4. If a passage ends, return to its last junction and deliberately choose a different branch.

Worked example

Remember a junction

At a three-way junction, the left branch ends after two turns while the right branch continues toward the flag. Return along the left branch to the same junction, then take the right branch instead of repeating the dead end.

Build your strategy

  • Trace backward from the exit to identify which final corridor you must reach.
  • Use a consistent wall-following approach if you lose your place, while recognizing that it may take a longer route.
  • On Hard, break the route into sections between memorable junctions rather than trying to remember every turn.

Common mistakes

  • Repeating a dead-end branch because you did not identify the junction you returned to.
  • Pressing directions quickly enough to pass the turn you intended to take.
