Snake

Snake is an arcade game about routing an increasingly long moving body. Steer toward food to grow, while keeping enough open space to avoid the walls and your own snake. Planning matters more as the body fills the board.

Rules & objective

Eat food, grow your snake and avoid walls and your body.

  • Press Start to begin movement. The snake keeps moving at the chosen tier’s fixed pace until you pause or the run ends.
  • Eating food increases the score by 10 and lengthens the snake. A collision with a wall or the body ends the run.
  • You cannot reverse directly into yourself. To travel back in the opposite direction, turn around through open space.

Key terms

Head
The leading square whose direction you control.
Tail
